Sir Charles Mackerras celebration Concert

One of the most respected figures of the classical music world and President of Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Sir Charles Mackerras died on 14 July this year. With a distinguished career spanning six decades he consistently championed the music of Janácek and was responsible, more than any other person, for the place the composer holds with audiences today.

British Flute Society & Trinity Laban Flute Festival

The British Flute Society and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance are delighted to announce a collaborative two day Flute Festival taking place at Trinity on 28 & 29 October 2010. The Festival is proud to be able to present Dutch flautist/composer Wil Offermans as its guest international artist along with the Conservatoire’s own Emer McDonough, Anna Noakes, Lynda Coffin and Julian Coward.

Greenwich International Early Music Festival & Exhibition 2010


The Greenwich International Early Music Festival, jointly presented by Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, the Greenwich Foundation and the Early Music Shop, is one of the major annual dates in the early music calendar. Now firmly established as one of the leading educators in the field of historical performance, Trinity Laban presents a glittering array of singers, instrumentalists and teachers in the performance festival.

Gershwin and Ellington in Retrospect and Anticipation

In this exciting double-bill, Trinity Jazz Ensemble directed by Malcolm Earle-Smith and Contemporary Jazz Ensemble directed by Mark Lockheart perform and re-interpret iconic repertoire by Duke Ellington. The second half is presented by the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra performing Gershwin, including internationally renowned saxophonist Tommy Smith’s reorchestration of Rhapsody in Blue featuring pianist Brian Kellock.
