Head of the Vocal faculty Linda Hirst, Trinity pianist Kelvin Lim and two Trinity postgraduate students – Peter Kirk and Joanna Weeks – were live on BBC Radio 3’s In Tune programme on Tuesday evening to promote Trinity College of Music Opera Company’s production of Albert Herring at Blackheath Halls this week.
The group discussed the Britten work and Peter (who’s playing the title role) and Joanna (as the indomitable Lady Billows) performed short sections of the opera.
Trinity Head of Strings Nic Pendlebury featured on the same show the previous evening, with his quartet the Smith Quartet. The group talked about their upcoming concerts at King’s Place and played works by Philip Glass, Tunde Jegede and Graham Fitkin.Listen again to Trinity staff and students In TuneFor more information on Albert Herring or to book tickets
