Handel's Guistino
Trinity College of Music's Opera Company and Baroque Orchestra

Wed 29 April - Fri 1 May 7.30pm
Sat 2 May 3pm

Director: Olivia Fuchs
Musical Director: Phillip Thorby

Performed with the accompaniment of period instruments in the apt surroundings of the Old Royal Naval College Chapel in Greenwich, Handel’s Giustino is a baroque treasure trove. Whilst rarely performed, perhaps because it does not sit neatly with other works of the time, it is nonetheless a real gem. An old-fashioned fairy tale replete with larger than life characters, luscious music and even the occasional bear and sea monster, Giustino is baroque entertainment at its best.
