One A level pass (Performing Arts subject preferred)

Equivalent qualifications (including BTEC/NVQ etc.) and/or relevant prior experience may be considered

English Language Requirements

All applicants whose first language is not English are required to have attained one of the following English Language levels or its equivalent:

IELTS Score of 6.0+ in all elements

Trinity Guildhall Grade 10 or higher

Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English

TOEFL (Paper-based) Score of 550+

TOEFL (Computer) Score of 213+

TOEFL (Internet TOEFL) Score of 80+

The Foundation Degree in Musical Theatre: Performance is a unique performance-based degree which offers the opportunity for individual vocal tuition as well as group coaching in singing, dance and acting.

The aim of the course is to train high-calibre performers for the diverse demands of the Musical Theatre profession.

Students will work in a range of collaborative artistic settings in conjunction with a wide range of leading industry professionals. Principal Study tuition in singing, dance and acting is supported by Performance Projects and Complementary Studies.

Reynolds Performing Arts

Reynolds dancersThe degree will be delivered in part at and by Reynolds Performing Arts, based in Bexley.

In recent years Reynolds has led the way in delivering innovative work-based training and equipping students to gain high quality employment within this demanding industry.

Reynolds maintains close links with some of the industry’s leading professionals including West End producers, musical directors, choreographers, directors and performance specialists.

The quality of training offered by Reynolds has been described as outstanding by the Adult Learning Inspectorate and this is demonstrated by the success of its student success the industry.

In November 2006 Reynolds was awarded Beacon Status for its ‘Outstanding Contribution to Education and Training’.

 

Photo of people exercising in the Reynolds GymReynolds has six fully equipped dance studios with floor to ceiling mirrors and sprung floors, a comprehensive learning skills studio equipped with 12 computers with internet access, and on-site recording facilities.

There are changing rooms, kitchen and communal areas for students to socialise, and there is also a large fully equipped gym and fitness testing room.

Qualified staff are on hand to design specific indivudal exercise programmes.

These excellent facilities are housed within a beautiful, purpose built, Chapel setting.
