The talented Trinity Wind Orchestra has recorded an album of Alan Hovhaness’ symphonies, conducted by Keith Brion. The album has just been released on the classical music label Naxos and features three of the American composer’s most fascinating scores - Symphonies Nos. 7 Nanga Parbat and 14 Ararat – inspired by the famous mountain peaks – and Symphony No.23 Ani, which takes its name from the medieval Armenian city. The album was recorded at Blackheath Halls in 2008, and forms part of the Naxos American Classics series.
The CD is available to buy in all good record shops and can be downloaded from Amazon
