Trinity’s move to Greenwich in 2001 caught the imagination of hundreds of donors. We raised £17 million for this move, with private and charitable donations providing no less than £3 million of this target.
Generous friends, alumni and board members gave over £300,000 and some of the foremost Trusts and Foundations have provided major contributions. They included: Jerwood Foundation; Michael Peacock Charitable Foundation; Dunard Fund; Garfield Weston Foundation; Wolfson Foundation; Millichope Foundation; The Atlantic Philanthropies; and Greenwich Development Agency.
Now that we are part of the emerging vibrant artistic community of South East London, we continue to seek support for a number of quite distinct capital projects, including the refurbishment of Blackheath Halls (acquired by Trinity in 2003) and the creation of an ambitious Early Music Centre to be situated in the former Commander’s residence overlooking the Thames.
