This online music dictionary is an excellent starting point for research. It includes the searchable full text of the New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians (2nd ed.), the New Grove Dictionary of Opera and the New Grove Dictionary of Jazz (2nd ed.). It also includes the contents of two other Oxford music publications.
An archive containing the complete, searchable full text of over 30 full text scholarly music journals. Articles can be read online or printed in PDF format. Journal issues are added to the archive after a period of 0-10 years depending on the publisher and title, so the availability of recent content will vary.
Indexes over 400 international music journals, including ephemeral material such as record reviews and news items. Over 700,000 articles have been indexed, dating back to 1874. Strong in jazz subjects. All references include abstracts, but not full text.
RILM is a comprehensive music bibliography featuring citations, abstracts, and indexes. Publications originate from 151 countries and are in 214 languages. There are currently over 550,000 records in RILM on traditional music, popular music, and classical music. Coverage of all document types begins in 1967. Coverage of Conference Proceedings goes back to 1835. All references include abstracts, but not full text.

A resource which allows users to listen to tracks from over 25,000 CDs online, including all Naxos releases and recordings from a number of other publishers. The recordings are mainly of classical music, but some jazz and musical theatre recordings are available. The text of many CD liner notes can also be accessed and searched. Other useful resources include opera libretti and plot synopses, and Naxos podcasts.
The library also holds a subscription to Naxos Music Library Jazz, a separate service providing access to over 2000 jazz CDs.
A database of classical music recordings designed for listening and learning in libraries. Over 30 music publishers are represented (including EMI Classics and Hyperion), with over 50000 tracks available to listen to online. Users can save their own playlists of music tracks for personal use, or listen to playlists provided by Trinity staff.
A collection of the world's musical and aural traditions. Includes the published recordings owned by the non-profit Smithsonian Folkways Recordings label and the archival audio collections of Folkways Records, Cook, Dyer-Bennet, Fast Folk, Monitor, Paredon and other labels.
